Sarah has over 13 years’ experience of advising both trustees and employers on a broad range of private sector pensions issues including advice on the pensions aspects of corporate transactions. Sarah’s recent experience includes advising trustees on how to deal with issues in relation to legislative and regulatory compliance, advice in relation to day-to-day queries, providing trustee training and advising both trustees and employers in relation to scheme reconstruction and benefit redesign and redrafting. Sarah believes in giving trustees pragmatic and sensible advice which enables them to comply with their obligations and duties to members whilst recognising the commercial interests of the employer.
Sarah is well regarded within the pensions community having joined as a member of the Association of Pensions Lawyers on qualification. She has previously been a member of the Education and Seminars APL subcommittee and Chair of the North East Association of Pension Lawyers.
