Regulatory & Compliance
Bryony advises on a broad range of regulatory matters, including financial services. consumer finance, data protection and health & safety. Thanks to a previous career in project management, she very effectively manages individual legal matters as well as wider client relationships.
Bryony works across the firm’s full range of contentious and non-contentious work. She assists clients with FCA investigations and enforcement action, requirements for regulated activities, compliance with money laundering regulations, data subject access requests and interactions with the Information Commissioner’s Office, incident investigations, inquest attendance for high-profile and multi-party cases, and liaising with regulators on potential enforcement action and prosecutions following minor and major regulatory breaches.
Rather than simply giving legal advice, Bryony sees her role as being to help clients operate with confidence in increasingly complex and heavily-regulated environments. Rather than simply helping them avoid fines or enforcement actions, compliance helps them protect their reputations and build positive relationships with regulators.
In addition to her contentious and advisory work, Bryony also advises on regulatory risks in complex, high-value and cross-border corporate transactions. Clients describe Bryony as being approachable, with a creative and flexible approach to achieving positive outcomes.
