His work includes advising on planning application strategy, legal audits of applications, CIL advice and negotiating major planning agreements. David is adept at contentious work and is experienced in major appeal and call-in inquiries, and in the courts.

His expertise lies in energy and infrastructure work for promoters of nationally significant infrastructure projects and parties affected by them. He advises on projects from start to finish; drafting development consent orders, appearing at examination hearings, and advising on the implementation of the consent and associated powers of compulsory acquisition.
