She’s worked in both private practice and in-house roles, including spending time at a major high street bank, gaining comprehensive knowledge and expertise in financial services regulation and, in particular, consumer finance.

Her client base spans a diverse range of lenders, including large high street banks, building societies, fintech companies, motor finance providers and alternative lenders. She advises many leading financial services firms on complex issues including regulatory permissions, advising on and drafting compliant documentation and policies, offering advice on the FCA Handbook, and assisting with large scale remediations and non-compliance issues.

Leanna understands her clients’ unique needs and provides practical and commercially focused advice. She has a knack for explaining complex legal issues in a straightforward and accessible way, ensuring her clients have a clear understanding of their options and the associated risks.

What Leanna finds most enjoyable about her role is taking the time to build relationships with her clients and to understand their businesses, allowing for real collaboration. She knows how important it is to find a practical and commercial answer and enjoys working closely with clients to find innovative solutions to what are often complex legal challenges.

Leanna is an editor of Butterworths Financial Regulation Service, as well as Practical Law materials on consumer credit.
