Alex is a Director in our Construction & Engineering Team.  He is experienced across both contentious and non-contentious matters and his work covers a wide range of sectors.

Alex is particularly interested in the logistics, retail, development finance and education sectors and his clients include listed companies, local authorities, developers, contractors, banks, government agencies and specialist sub-contractors.

Alex has a great deal of experience advising on, formulating and negotiating development and funding agreements, building contracts, consultancy agreements, bonds, guarantees, collateral warranties and related documents. He is also experienced in contentious construction matters including all forms of dispute resolution proceedings.

A cradle to grave approach

Being able to offer advice from cradle to grave is one of the most rewarding parts of his work and Alex relishes the opportunity to deliver a first-class service to help clients achieve their goals. “It’s great to see clients achieve their goals with tangible results across the lifespan of a project”, he says.

Alex is known for being technically proficient, organised and a strong communicator.  He describes his approach to client work as “proactive, organised and efficient” and he always strives to give pragmatic, commercial and strategic solutions to his clients.  “I break down and simplify issues so that I can provide straightforward and personable advice for my clients to consider”.
