Alan Harper is the Head of the Intellectual Property team at Walker Morris. With over 15 years of experience in intellectual property law, Alan specialises in protecting, enforcing, commercialising and exploiting IP rights for a wide range of clients in an array of sectors.

Alan is a highly experienced intellectual property solicitor, specialising in contentious and non-contentious matters. His expertise covers patents, trade marks, copyright, designs, domains and confidential information. Alan regularly represents clients in forums ranging from the Court of Appeal to the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (IPEC). In addition to handling litigation, Alan advises clients on the creation, capture, and exploitation of intellectual property rights, offering commercial, pragmatic solutions to a variety of IP challenges. Alan also supports with the acquisition and disposal of intellectual property.

His work spans industries, including retail, technology, food and drink, manufacturing, healthcare and medical devices and energy and infrastructure. Alan’s extensive experience includes advising an array of iconic brands and businesses to protect their IP.
