Project managing complex cases

We have acted for Scarborough Group in respect of all construction documentation for a major Private Rented Sector (PRS) scheme in Manchester (to include over 2000 apartments).  The first phase required us to draft and negotiate construction documentation with the Professional Team together with the Building Contract with a new Contractor who had entered the UK construction market backed by the Chinese government.  As part of the deal, there was pre-construction funding from the Far East together with separate funding streams from each of Homes England and a UK based institutional lender. The second phase involved a forward fund development agreement. Our understanding of what is considered institutionally acceptable to funders provided significant assistance to the client in reaching agreement with the third party funders on the construction aspects of these complex deals.

In connection with litigation matters we are currently advising groups of claimants on numerous multi million pound disputes relating to the design and construction of city centre residential developments across the country.
