Walker Morris announces marquee Corporate Partner hire

Andrew Senior, one of Yorkshire’s most highly regarded dealmakers, has joined Walker Morris from Pinsent Masons, increasing the total number of Partners in Walker Morris’ Corporate team to eight. Andrew brings extensive experience advising listed companies, private equity-backed businesses and investment funds on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.

Andrew has spent his entire career at Pinsent Masons, becoming a Partner in 2023. His experience is in high-value, complex, multi-jurisdictional deals with a particular focus on businesses in the infrastructure, energy, construction supply-chain and waste sectors. He also advises clients across a range of other sectors, including technology, manufacturing, life sciences, food and drink and professional services.

Examples of the high-profile deals Andrew has advised on include:

  • two of the first growth equity investments by the National Wealth Fund (headquartered in Leeds);
  • multiple acquisitions for DCC Energy plc (formerly DCC plc), a FTSE 100 multi-energy sales and distribution business; and
  • the £960m sale by Turner Townsend of 60% of its Group to CBRE.

Andrew’s arrival maintains the momentum of senior hires leaving major UK and international law firms for Walker Morris in recent months. They include Equity Capital Markets Partner Martin Penn from DLA Piper, Planning and Infrastructure Consents Director David Wood from Hogan Lovells, Pensions Director Danny Fowler from Fieldfisher, Real Estate Partner Daniel Glowacz from Addleshaw Goddard and I&E Partner Laura Gordon from DLA Piper.

Richard Naish, Head of Corporate at Walker Morris, said: “Welcoming Andrew to the team is a very significant development for our Corporate and M&A offering, specifically our goal to develop and expand our portfolio of large privately owned and listed clients, both in the UK and abroad. He is a proven dealmaker who is well connected across the market, and we are delighted that Andrew shares our determination to be the go-to team for the very best work and to attract a greater share of high-value work from across the UK and internationally.”

Jeanette Burgess, Managing Partner at Walker Morris, said: “Andrew is an outstanding lawyer and leader and we are very pleased he has chosen to join us. We have a compelling proposition for free thinking, entrepreneurial individuals who enjoy challenging work and bringing to clients the benefits of a growing, single-site platform with genuine international reach through our network of trusted independent firms around the world.”

In the year ending 30 April 2026, Walker Morris delivered fees of just over £90m, representing 11% growth on the previous year and profit per equity partner of more than £1.1m. The firm has delivered 65% fee growth since 2020/21, and is on track to deliver its Ambition27 £100m+ revenue target.
