Walker Morris launches new charity partnership with Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity

YBTC is Yorkshire’s leading brain tumour charity dedicated to raising funds for life changing research and patient support. YBTC support parents and their loved ones through the devastation that a primary brain tumour diagnosis can bring, making sure they have someone to turn to at any stage of their journey, while funding innovative research across Yorkshire to find better treatments and ultimately a cure.

For this year’s Charity of the Year, Walker Morris will be organising and taking part in various events and activities over the next 12 months to raise as much as possible for YBTC including: a Halloween bake sale, Movember, annual Christmas raffle, and bake-off.

Each year our employees are invited to nominate local charities that have either impacted them directly or that they passionately support. The nominated charities are then considered as a shortlist which all employees have the opportunity to vote on. The chosen charity receives all the money raised from the fundraising activities and events that take place through the course of the year.

“To be chosen as the Charity of the Year by Walker Morris means an awful lot to all of us at YBTC. We don’t receive any government funding and the current financial climate is more challenging than ever, so this fundraising will make a tremendous difference to the charity and our beneficiaries. All of the money raised will go directly towards research and support for brain tumour patients and their loved ones in Yorkshire.”

We’re looking forward to having the opportunity to work closely with YBTC over the next 12 months and raise as much as possible to help them to provide patient support as well as undertake life changing research.”

Walker Morris selects a charity to partner with every year, enabling colleagues to get involved and raise money for a worthy cause. In 2023, we raised a record breaking £19,020 over the course of the last 12 months for our Charity of the Year, Candlelighters.
