Walker Morris has advised ARGO Real Estate (ARGO) on the acquisition of The Merlin Centre, a major multi-let logistics asset in High Wycombe, for around £50m, from a fund managed by Aberdeen Investments
The acquisition is part of ARGO’s brown-to-green urban logistics strategy with Blue Coast Capital, which focuses on repositioning and transforming well-located assets with strong fundamentals. The Merlin Centre offers significant asset management potential, in line with ARGO’s brown-to-green strategy.
Walker Morris supported ARGO through the negotiation process, ultimately securing the necessary approvals and completing the deal within the tight commercial timetable.
Real Estate Partner Daniel Glowacz led the Walker Morris team on the transaction, with support from Stef Harris (Senior Associate), Sarah Cameron (Senior Associate), Siobhan Endeacott (CILEX Trainee) and Catherine Thompson (Director) in the Construction team.
Commenting on the acquisition, Daniel Glowacz said, “This is another significant acquisition for ARGO Real Estate and represents a strong addition to its market-leading brown-to-green urban logistics platform. Our team worked collaboratively to deliver a successful outcome for all parties.”
Walker Morris has a longstanding relationship with ARGO Real Estate, having advised on the launch of its brown-to-green urban logistics platform and its subsequent acquisitions, including Beckton Trade Park, London; Tuscam Trading Estate, Camberley; Harp Trading Estate, Manchester; Northumberland Court, Chelmsford; and Cowley Business Park, Oxford.
