Walker Morris advises on sale of Beacon Park Boats

Walker Morris has advised the joint administrators of Beacon Park Boats Limited on the successful sale of the business to Timeout Escapes Limited, securing the future of the renowned Welsh leisure boating operator and safeguarding around 30 jobs.

Based in Llangattock, Beacon Park Boats operated a fleet of more than 20 luxury canal boats on the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal, providing holiday experiences to thousands of visitors each year. The business entered administration following post-pandemic trading challenges, leaving it with significant debt and placing jobs and future bookings at risk.

The transaction resulted in the acquisition of the business by Timeout Escapes Limited, preserving the company’s long-standing heritage and securing its future as a leading operator within the UK’s inland waterways tourism sector.

Restructuring & Insolvency Partner, Duncan Lole, led the Walker Morris team on the transaction, with support from Ashley Armitage (Director), Olivia Prescott (Director) and Amy Dawson (Associate).

Walker Morris advised the joint administrators on the application for an administration order and all legal aspects of the sale, working alongside PKF Littlejohn Advisory UK LLP as administrators and Gordon Brothers to deliver a successful outcome for the business, its employees and customers.
