Walker Morris guides HSBC on Braime Group acquisition

Walker Morris has advised HSBC UK on the financing of a multimillion‑pound acquisition by Leeds‑based engineering group Braime Group plc.

Braime has acquired Don Electronics Ltd, together with its subsidiary Synatel Instrumentation Ltd, in a transaction that strengthens the group’s electronics manufacturing capability and secures greater control over its supply chain.

The deal comprised an initial £5 million cash consideration, alongside deferred consideration of up to £4.9 million based on performance. The initial consideration was funded through a £5.2 million term loan facility provided by HSBC.

Banking & Finance Partner, Philip Scott, led the Walker Morris team, with support from Joshua Waddington (Senior Associate).

Discussing the acquisition, Philip Scott said, “We’re pleased to have advised HSBC on this strategically important acquisition, reflecting continued investment across the manufacturing sector and the role of acquisition finance in supporting growth.

“This deal demonstrates how targeted M&A, supported by flexible financing, can play a key role in supporting long‑term growth.”
