Laura Lister received the Finance Rising Star of the year, while Adam Bertram secured Projects Rising Star of the year.

Walker Morris was also announced as Finance Firm of the year for being 1 of only 2 firms ranked tier 1 for both Banking & Finance and Insolvency & Corporate Recovery in Yorkshire. Judges were impressed by the teams work on the GoodBox restructuring, the first instance of a restructuring plan being sanctioned outside of London.

Laura Lister is a Director in the Banking & Finance team, known for her work on transactional finance deals. Described in Legal500 as a ‘first-class banking lawyer: bright, attentive, responsive, personable and gives clear advice.’ Laura acts mainly for corporate borrowers, working on an array of debt finance deals, including acquisition or leveraged finance, real estate investment and development funding, refinancing, and general corporate borrowing.

Adam Bertram is an Associate in the Infrastructure & Energy team. He has considerable experience advising clients on the contractual arrangements relevant to infrastructure and energy projects. His experience includes renewable energy, energy from waste, power purchase agreements, grant funding agreements, and EPC/O&M contracts. In Legal500 Adam is described to be ‘very thorough, efficient and has excellent knowledge of project and finance documentation.’
