Disclosure and Inspection – Chapter from the little green book of dispute resolutionPrint publication
In civil litigation in England and Wales, each party must formally disclose to the other documents which are relevant to the issues in dispute. The Disclosure and Inspection process enables the parties to learn more about each other’s case and it ensures that parties have access to the same information when preparing for trial.
From a practical point of view, however, the Disclosure process can be a very onerous process for clients. There may be a great many documents to search through to identify those which must be disclosed.
To help you navigate the process, the Disclosure and Inspection chapter from Walker Morris’ little green book of dispute resolution in England and Wales explains all you need to know, and offers some key tips and practical advice.
