Walker Morris shortlisted for three Yorkshire Legal Awards

Launched in 2000, the Yorkshire Legal Awards bring together the region’s legal community to recognise and celebrate its many achievements. The Awards are judged by a prestigious independent panel made up of experts from across the Yorkshire legal community.

The shortlisting for Law Firm of the Year recognises Walker Morris’ commitment to its ongoing investment into several operational, client-focused and HR initiatives, which have contributed to its continued development as an independent and forward-thinking practice. Highlights include a refreshed brand, vision and values and launch of its compelling and award-winning Sustainable Careers proposition that supports employees to meet their aspirations over a lifelong career.

The Intellectual Property team have had a strong year and have recently secured a victory in the Court of Appeal on behalf of its client, Moulded Fibre Products, in a patent infringement matter. The team also continues to build on its reputation and continues to attract internationally recognised household names and brands, providing them with full service intellectual property support. The team continues to grow having hired new recruits in the past year to meet expanded client demand.

The Litigation & Dispute Resolution team is one of the largest and most successful outside London, with the capability to offer clients specialist legal services in litigation, international arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution processes. The team regularly act for leading national and international energy and infrastructure clients, heavy industry clients, food and drink manufacturers, retail clients, and also act for a number of large UK house-builders.
