The shortlisting for ‘Property Law Firm of the Year’ recognises Walker Morris’ ongoing strategic investment, independence and high quality services within the Real Estate Team.
The announcement follows a busy year for the Team having delivered on over £4 billion worth of deals in the past 12 months. Key deals include: advising one of the largest real estate companies in Canada on acquisitions of Wembley Central and The Cube in Birmingham; and advising Unite Students on its development near Leeds Arena, which will accommodate over 900 students when it opens in 2020.
Head of the Walker Morris Real Estate Team, Jeremy Moore, commented:

It’s a busy year for the Firm as we prepare to move premises to 33 Wellington Street in August 2019, the largest professional services relocation in 15 years. The move is part of a major investment programme which has also seen us invest heavily in our IT infrastructure. Our aim is to inspire our staff, and enable them to work more collaboratively and effectively; whether they are in the office, working remotely at home, with clients or on the move.”
The Walker Morris Real Estate Team is recognised nationally and internationally as a leading team in the field, with 54% of their Top 50 clients having been with them for 10 years or more, including several over 25 years. They are ranked as band 1 in both Legal 500 and Chambers and recognised as ‘National Leaders outside London.‘ Whilst being one of the largest single-site Teams outside of London.
The awards ceremony will take place at New Dock Hall, Leeds on the 19th September 2019 bringing together the regions legal community to celebrate its achievements.
