Walker Morris directors support local schools through Prince's Trust mentoring project

The Walker Morris Directors Group was recently involved with the ‘Mosaic’ mentoring project founded by HRH The Prince of Wales and part of the Prince’s Trust.

‘Enterprise Challenge’ is an annual, national competition where secondary school students aged 11-16 learn about establishing and running a business through a business simulation game. Over 4,000 pupils from more than 100 secondary schools across the Country will participate in the competition before five teams are shortlisted to compete in the Grand Final. Volunteers from over 400 businesses will provide mentoring to the pupils.

Following an initial meeting provided by Mosaic, the Directors spent a day guiding teams of secondary school pupils through an ethical business questionnaire and walking them through the online business simulation. The teams have until 3 March to login to the simulation and try to improve on their score. Claire Askew and Victoria Patterson attended Ralph Thorsby School, and Justin Coley attended Spen Valley School, ably supported by Hannah Levy and Rishi Naru.

It would be great to see at least one of our teams make the Regional Finals at KPMG Leeds on 29 March, and even better if they make it to the National Finals in London on 4 May.
