Lawyers at Walker Morris have advised Green Street, the preeminent provider of commercial real estate intelligence and analytics in the U.S. and Europe, on its acquisition of Local Data Company (LDC), a London-based provider of best-in-class proprietary data and insights on Great Britain’s retail and leisure market.
For more than 35 years, Green Street has delivered unparalleled intelligence and trusted data on the public and private real estate markets, helping investors, banks, lenders, and other industry participants optimise investment and strategic decisions. The firm delivers exclusive market information, conclusion-drive insights, and predictive analytics through a SaaS platform.
LDC is Green Street’s third acquisition since 2020, demonstrating its commitment to growth to deliver more value to clients and strengthen its position in the market.
The Walker Morris team was led by Corporate partner Richard Naish alongside Jessica Stanley, Matthew Dickinson and Jacob Bellamy (Corporate) and Lucy Gordon and Kendel Shepherd (Employment). Further support and advice was provided by teams across firm, including IP, Pensions, Commercial, Regulatory, Real Estate and Debt Finance.
Richard Naish, Walker Morris Corporate Partner, added:
“The acquisition is great news for both Green Street and LDC. The addition of LDC will not only strengthen Green Street’s existing service offering but also provide them with a significant opportunity to expand their geographical coverage. It was a privilege to work with the team again, having advised on the acquisition of React News a couple of years ago.”
