Michael is a Partner in the Corporate team. He specialises in advising private equity, VC and strategic clients on complex cross-border matters. Michael commonly acts on transactions for highly sophisticated clients who value his pro-active and responsive approach to English law M&A.

Much of Michael’s work touches on the technology sector, where he regularly assists some of the most active PE funds and strategics in North America and Europe on their transactions with a UK nexus. Michael has also garnered a reputation as a trusted advisor to Asian funds, strategics and family offices looking to invest in the UK, with such clients valuing his experience of over four years spent working across ASEAN and Hong Kong on some of the market leading transactions of the last decade, such as Walmart’s acquisition of a majority stake in Flipkart for US$16billion.

Michael holds an MA (Cantab) from Christ’s College, Cambridge University and is an active member of the International Bar Association (providing him with a strong international network to leverage for his clients if required). Prior to joining Walker Morris, Michael trained and worked at a Magic Circle law firm in their London and Hong Kong Offices before working for one of the world’s largest US law firms in Singapore and London.

Experience

Advising Quantum-Systems GmbH, Germany’s first unicorn of 2025, on leading a bridging convertible financing round via its UK subsidiary for Frontline Robotics Ltd, structuring cornerstone investment terms for up to a 25% equity stake and integrating Frontline’s counter-UAS technology into QS’s unmanned aerial systems.

Advising MJ Hudson PLC on its restructuring and the disposal of several operating divisions to Apex Group Ltd.

Advising the US agricultural fund Solum Partners on its first UK acquisition.

Advising Suprajit on the cross-jurisdiction carve-out acquisition of the light duty cable business of Norwegian Group, Kongsberg Automotive.

Assisting the German Unicorn for Aerial Intelligence Solutions, Quantum Systems, on its acquisition of Quantum Drones Limited (f.k.a. Nordic Unmanned UK Limited)

Advising a number of leading DFIs (Finnfund, BII, FMO, and Mirova) in a capital raise for Miro Forestry Developments
