Walker Morris is once again sponsoring the Yorkshire Finance Leaders Awards which return to honour and celebrate our region’s strong finance community.

Jointly sponsored by Walker Morris along with accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP, recruitment group Brewster Partners and insurance brokerage Lockton Companies, the Yorkshire Finance Leaders Awards process aims to promote the exceptional financial leadership in the region. The awards are a platform for showcasing the achievements of local Finance Directors, Chief Finance Officers, Financial Controllers and fast rising leaders who underpin and sustain Yorkshire’s economic success.

Last year’s awards recognised some of Yorkshire’s top performing finance leaders working across a breadth of high performing businesses. The 2018 final awards dinner, including keynote speaker Sir Ranulph Fiennes, was attended by over 250 industry professionals who came together to celebrate the final 11 award winners.

Previous winner Matt Mitchell said:

“Winning the ‘Finance Leader in Private Company over £100m’ award at the Yorkshire Finance Leaders Awards 2018 was a huge surprise. It was fantastic to be recognised for my achievements.”

Nominations for the awards are now open and can be submitted via http://www.yflawards.co.uk/nomination until Friday 28th June. The awards are open to Finance Directors, Chief Finance Officers, Financial Controllers and their finance teams in all industries across the region helping to deliver success and develop new opportunities for their business. This year’s categories include Best Yorkshire Finance Leader in an International Company, Best Yorkshire Finance Leader in a High Growth Start-Up and a new category for Best Finance Team in Yorkshire.

Details of this year’s finalists will be released before the final winners are announced at a gala dinner at the Queens Hotel on Thursday 19th September 2019.
