Winners revealed at Yorkshire Finance Leaders Awards

Region’s brightest financial talents celebrated at awards
Over 200 finance leaders and professionals attended the Yorkshire Finance Leaders Awards at The Queens Hotel, Leeds, last night to celebrate the achievements of some of the region’s brightest financial talents.
Walker Morris is one of four joint sponsors of the awards, alongside accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP, recruitment group Brewster Partners and insurance brokers Lockton Companies.
Adnan Velic, formerly Finance Director at MRC Global, now of Nobia UK, was presented with the award for Outstanding Yorkshire Finance Leader award. (Full list of winners and special mentions below).
The black-tie awards evening which recognises and celebrates the outstanding achievements of Yorkshire’s strong finance community featured a keynote speech from former Director General of MI5, Baroness Manningham-Buller who spoke about her times as part of British internal Security Service and the important role of being a leader uncertain and difficult times.
Over £3,500 was raised to support local charity Variety, the Children’s Charity during the evening
