Walker Morris Team advises Blue Logic on acquisition by BCN Group

Walker Morris advises on sixth corporate transaction in IT and technology sector this year

Specialist Corporate lawyers from Walker Morris have advised IT services business, Blue Logic, on its acquisition by Manchester-based IT cloud and managed services specialist, BCN Group, for an undisclosed sum.

Since being established in 2007 Blue Logic has grown its turnover to £7m and services over 500 business clients from Yorkshire, with its head office in Leeds.

Blue Logic’s 90 employees will remain in Yorkshire after merging with BCN’s 50-strong workforce. The acquisition provides the enlarged group with an exceptional platform to provide technology solutions and support for businesses right across the North, and also introduces Sage Accounting and CRM into BCN’s portfolio.

John Hamer, Head of Corporate, led the Walker Morris team.

John Hamer, said:

“We’ve been delighted to be able to advise the shareholders of Blue Logic in relation to its acquisition by BCN Group. Mark, Dave and the team at Blue Logic have developed a great business which attracted a lot of buyer interest.

“This latest deal is our sixth corporate transaction this year in the IT and technology sector, reinforcing our expertise in advising clients in this dynamic market segment.”

Dave Helm, co-founder of Blue Logic commented:

“I am deeply proud of the business and everyone in it. We have achieved great things over the last 12 years which is testament to our commitment to our customers and the service we deliver.

“BCN demonstrated a strong culture and approach to their customers and team, one that we could identify with at Blue Logic. This, combined with their commitment to innovation, made the decision to join forces an easy one.”

Earlier this year the team advised Servelec on the sale of Servelec Technologies and its subsidiaries and also on its acquisition of Careervision Holdings Limited (C:Vision).
