Strong performance in independent legal guides reinforces Walker Morris’ position as a leading law firm

The rankings for both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners are published and strong performances in both legal guides reinforces Walker Morris’ position as one of the leading independent law firms outside London.

Overall Walker Morris has 27 practice areas ranked in either Chambers or Legal 500, 85% of which are in the top two Tiers. The Firm also attracted national rankings for Corporate Flotations, Consumer Finance, Local Government, Retail and Sport and was recognised as a ‘National Leader outside London’ for Corporate M&A, Litigation, Real Estate, Restructuring & Insolvency.

With 99 individual lawyer recommendation in Legal 500 and 43 individual rankings in Chambers, Walker Morris lawyers performed well on an individual basis. There are now 96% of Walker Morris’ partners recommended in either guide. In addition, Gwendoline Davies was ranked in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame highlights individuals who have received constant praise by their clients and have been recognised by The Legal 500 as one of the elite leading lawyers for six consecutive years or more.

In addition, Managing Partner Malcolm Simpson was recently interviewed in the inaugural edition of fivehundred – a new publication from Legal 500. In the interview Malcolm discusses the challenges of differentiation and how empowering our lawyers has been crucial to our success.
