Carly Thorpe wins at the 2025 WICE Awards

This accolade reflects Carly’s exceptional contributions to the industry and her commitment to achieving excellence for her clients.

The WICE Awards are set up to inspire women to consider careers in construction and engineering while showcasing trailblazing role models. Carly’s win not only celebrates her remarkable achievements but also demonstrates the increasing diversity and inclusion in the sector.

This year, WICE received an impressive 400 nominations, with just 152 individuals making the shortlist. Out of these professionals, Carly emerged as the winner in the fiercely competitive Construction Law category – an achievement that further cements her status as one of the industry’s leading figures.

Carly was nominated by our Head of Construction & Engineering, Tom Peel, in recognition of her leadership on high-value construction disputes that have set new legal benchmarks, her tireless advocacy for diversity in both law and construction, her endeavours to increase the number of women adjudicators in the UK, and her dedication to mentoring emerging legal professionals.

Discussing her win, Carly said: “Winning the WICE Award is an incredible honour. It is immensely gratifying to see the hard work and dedication recognised on such a prestigious platform.
