DEFRA consultation on hedgerow protection

A hedgerow is a boundary line of bushes which may include trees. Hedgerows support biodiversity and provide habitats for a diverse range of species including birds, mammals and butterflies. With the UK government putting increasing importance on the protection of hedgerows, now is the time to have your say as part of DEFRA’s latest consultation.

The DEFRA consultation on hedgerow protection is open until 20 September 2023.
