Join us for breakfast, catching up with fellow pensions professionals and hear our latest thoughts on:

  1. Virgin Media decision: the Government has come up with a solution in the Pension Schemes Bill. What will trustees and employers need to do to validate retrospectively affected amendments?
  2. Refunds of surplus in ongoing DB schemes: what are the Government’s proposals in the Pension Schemes Bill? How should trustees approach the repayment of surplus? Where the proposal is to repay to the employer, what process must be followed and how should member feedback about that be dealt with? We will discuss these and other practical questions.
  3. Recovering overpayments from members: we will discuss how the courts currently consider such cases and the Government’s proposals for change in the Pension Schemes Bill.
  4. Latest regulatory intervention from Pensions Regulator: the Regulator has exercised a number of its powers recently including the moral hazard powers and a successful prosecution relating to investments. We will discuss these cases and consider what this means for Pension Regulator interventions.

As always, we encourage active participation, so come along, share your thoughts and take away some practical hints and tips.
