General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR
We are at the forefront of the recent developments in the data protection landscape, particularly the implementation of the European General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR and the EU-US Privacy Shield. Our Regulatory Team has advised a number of clients, including multi-national businesses which regularly process special category personal data, on complex data privacy structures and conducted compliance audits and pre-GDPR gap analysis.
We can assist organisations in relation to their GDPR compliance programme, including:
- data mapping and data audits
- drafting GDPR compliant policies and procedures
- preparing data impact assessments
- data controller to data processor contracts and addendums
- data breach management and reporting advice.
Our team regularly provides training to clients in respect of GDPR, including to industry specific groups, to attendees at our annual in-house lawyers seminar and also to clients on an individual bespoke basis at their offices.
Members of the Regulatory team are regular contributors to have external publications as recognised experts in GDPR. We have also spoken at industry seminars and conferences worldwide, including addressing the Wisconsin Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel on international data transfers and GDPR, presenting on GDPR at the PSE Payment Gateway Conference in Brussels and sitting on a discussion panel at the European Women Payments Network conference in Amsterdam in order to offer expert insight into the interplay of GDPR with other European legislation.
