New Chief Executive for the Foods Standards AgencyPrint publication
The Chairman of the Foods Standards Agency (FSA), Heather Hancock, has confirmed that Jason Feeney has been appointed as the new chief executive of the agency with effect from 11 April.
Mr Feeney has been with the FSA since January 2015 when he joined as Chief Operating Officer. He has been a civil servant for more than 35 years and before joining the FSA he was Benefits Director at the Department for Work and Pensions. He was made a CBE in the 2011 New Year Honours List.
Mr Feeney said “It will be a privilege to lead the FSA over the coming few years as Chief Executive. The work that this organisation does is vital to the wellbeing and health of everyone in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and I will be proud to lead the dedicated and professional team that deliver it.”
