EU Public Procurement directives passed by EU ParliamentPrint publication
The EU Parliament has finally approved the text of the new public procurement directives (the ‘classic’ directive, utilities directive and concessions directive). They will come into force 20 days after they have been published in the Official Journal of the European Union. Member states (including the UK) then have 24 months to implement them into national law.
We have written extensively on the draft Directives as they passed through the EU legislative process and you can find all our previous briefings by searching under Business Insights on the Walker Morris website www.walkermorris.co.uk. Look out for further updates and training sessions in due course once the Cabinet Office starts to draft the necessary Regulations.
