Increases to statutory maternity, paternity, adoption and sick pay and increases to Tribunal awards

The maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal will rise from £76,574 to £78,335 and the maximum amount of a week’s pay, used to calculate statutory redundancy payments and the basic award for unfair dismissal will rise from £464 to £475.

Also on 6 April 2015, the rate of statutory sick pay will increase from £87.55 to £88.45.

As from 5 April 2015, the rate of statutory maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave will increase to £139.58 a week (up from £138.18).
