Logical, organised and analytical

Abbie Swales is an Associate at Walker Morris, known for her work in retail banking and housing litigation. Abbie typically acts on behalf of banks and building societies in relation to defended possession actions.

Helping people who are struggling financially and, where possible, implementing a plan to prevent those in need from losing their homes, is the part of her job that Abbie finds most rewarding.

Abbie describes her approach to client work as “hands on and to the point” but she knows how important it is to be adaptable when working to achieve a client’s goal.

Abbie always knew she wanted to be a lawyer.  Growing up in Leeds she used to go past Walker Morris’ old offices on her bus journey into the city centre and always said she would work here one day.

Abbie is part of the Walker Morris mentoring scheme and is a ‘baby buddy’ providing support and guidance for colleagues going on maternity leave.  Outside of life at Walker Morris, she is also a School Governor.
