Walker Morris has been appointed by NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) following a successful tender to help deliver quality legal services and savings to the NHS.

NHS SBS is a unique joint venture between the Department of Health and Steria. The organisation provides innovative and reliable support services designed for the NHS and currently works in partnership with more than 50% of all NHS Trusts and organisations. These services include services such as:

  • Finance & Accounting
  • Employment Services
  • Procurement
  • Primary Care Services

Walker Morris has been appointed to provide legal advice in six areas including

Head of Commercial Projects & Infrastructure said:

“We are delighted to have been appointed to the NHS SBS legal panel which builds on our established track record of advising both public and private clients in the healthcare sector. The appointment follows work we have been involved with on a number of projects with NHS England and the NHS Business Services Authority which have helped to reinforce our understanding of the sector.”

NHS SBS’s aim is to deliver savings of £224 million for the NHS by 2015, which it achieved 15 months ahead of schedule.
