Walker Morris Real Estate Group makes fifth new appointment in two monthsPrint news article
Walker Morris has responded to a surge of capital into the property market with its fifth new appointment in two months. The latest appointments make the Group one of the largest such teams outside London.
“Building on the growth of about 20% we have seen in the Real Estate Group at Walker Morris over the last couple of years, the feedback we are getting from our clients and contacts is one of increased confidence in the sector.”
“From our perspective, we’ve experienced an increase in work as a result of both the positive markets and also from the fact that we’ve won a number of major new clients. These new appointments are in response to meet the demand and also to continue Walker Morris’ ethos of investing in specialist expertise to offer our real estate clients a powerful combination of legal expertise and industry sector knowledge.”
The new appointments include new associate Will Cousins who joins from Nabarro LLP in London. Will has experience in all aspects of commercial real estate work including sales and purchases, development projects, refinancing deals and general landlord and tenant transactions.
Emma Collins also joins the team as a newly qualified solicitor having trained with the firm.
The announcements follows a number of recent successes for the Walker Morris department having being recently ranked as a national leader for Real Estate by Chambers & Partners and shortlisted by Legal 500 as Real Estate Firm of the Year in its inaugural awards. The Department was also shortlisted for the Yorkshire Business Insider Property Law Firm of the Year.
