Walker Morris partner Tom Peel supported Unite Students, the UK’s largest manager and developer of student accommodation, by taking part in a 155 mile charity cycle ride.
The ride, which took place on 3 and 4 September, saw Tom Peel, a partner in the Walker Morris Construction Team and Real Estate Group, join Unite to cycle from London to Bristol to raise money for three charities:
- The Unite Foundation – supporting the most vulnerable through University
- Cancer Research UK – working to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured
- The Down’s Syndrome Association – helping people with Down’s Syndrome lead full and rewarding lives
The 15-strong team from Unite, along with some of their other commercial partners, raised over £12,000 to provide vital funds for the three worthy causes. Beating their target by over £2,000.
The ride commenced at Unite’s new 759 bed property at Angel Lane in Stratford, London and finished at their new development in Trenchard Street in Bristol a day later. The team arrived in time to cut the ribbon at the grand opening of Trenchard Street, Unite’s first new development in Bristol for 8 years.
