Walker Morris partners Tom Peel and Nick Cannon will be supporting Unite Students, the UK’s largest manager and developer of student accommodation, by taking part in a 140 mile charity cycle ride.

The ride, which takes place on 3 and 4 September, will see Tom Peel, a partner in the Walker Morris Construction Team and Nick Cannon from the Real Estate Group, joining Unite to cycle from London to Bristol to raise money for three charities:

  • The Unite Foundation – supporting the most vulnerable through University
  • Cancer Research UK – working to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured
  • The Down’s Syndrome Association – helping people with Down’s Syndrome lead full and rewarding lives

The 15-strong team from Unite, along with some of their commercial partners, have set themselves a fundraising target of over £10,000 to raise vital funds for the three worthy causes.

The ride will start at Unite’s new 759 bed property at Angel Lane in Stratford, London and will finish at their new development in Trenchard Street in Bristol a day later. The team aims to arrive in time to cut the ribbon at the grand opening of Trenchard Street, Unite’s first new development in Bristol for 8 years.

Support for the team can be made by a donation on the Unite fundraising page click here.

Unite Students provides a home for over 43,000 students in almost 130 purpose built properties across 23 of the UK’s strongest university towns and cities. It has over 1,000 employees and works in partnership with more than 50 higher education providers, as well as renting rooms directly to students.

Tom Peel commented:

“It is a fantastic opportunity to be able to support our client and collaborate on such a great challenge to raise much needed funds for these three great charities. We’ve been training hard but thankfully we’ve received great support from our colleagues, friends, family and clients.”
