John Hamer scoops Yorkshire Business Insider – Dealmaker of the Year AwardPrint news article
John Hamer, Head of Corporate at law firm Walker Morris, won two awards at last night’s Yorkshire Business Insider Dealmakers Awards, including the coveted ‘Dealmaker of the Year Award’.
John was also presented Insider’s ‘Corporate Lawyer of the Year Award’ in recognition of his role in many of the region’s key deals and the long-standing relationships he has built with his clients. During his career, which spans over 20 years, he has earned a reputation for his hands on approach and for taking time to understand his clients’ businesses.
The awards recognise the leading figures in the Yorkshire dealmaking community and were presented by Insider’s editor Richard Abbott, in front of an audience of 550 at New Dock Hall.

John has been involved in a number of deals throughout the year including advising: Hargreaves on their £42 million fundraising by way of a share placing; Xercise4Less on a £5million investment from BGF; and NorthEdge Capital on its investment in Help-Link Limited.
