This is where you come in… we’re starting on our journey to optimise the use of Power Platforms and are looking for someone who can drive development projects forward. You’ll make key contributions to the team and firm’s strategies becoming the trusted adviser on all things Power Platform. Working closely with the Innovation Lead, Application Manager, Lead Application Development Analyst, Innovation Champions and wider IT team you’ll identify solutions, assess the viability of different options and present your ideas to the senior leadership team.
What you’ll be doing as a Power Platform Developer:
- Develop new applications, automation and use of the Power Platform and provide the Lead Application Development Analyst with technical input at feasibility stage, design stage, and throughout the rest of the development lifecycle.
- Maintaining existing applications and produce enhancements as required.
- Analyse the requirements for a particular task and agree a specification with the Lead Application Development Analyst.
- Configure, optimise and progress the software to meet the required specification.
- Design sets of test cases for software, execute tests and report on results.
- Provide 3rd level support for in-house-developed applications and any related purchased software liaising with third-party suppliers where their assistance is required.
- To liaise with client departments and IT trainers to ensure that clients’ training needs are met. To assist client departments and IT trainers in developing training courses for new clients, and to give “train the trainer” courses where required.
What we are looking for:
- Demonstrate an excellent understand of M365 Architectural design and development platforms
- Experience of using Azure DevOps for code management and user story management
- Highly Skilled and experienced on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) with 3-4 years development experience in a business environment
- Experience utilising Dataverse and Microsoft SQL Server as data repositories
- Experience of Microsoft SharePoint Technologies, including SharePoint Framework Client Web Parts
- Fully understands OWASP secure development principles and can demonstrate how these are applied in the delivery of solutions
- Operates knowing that client focus includes both external clients or suppliers and internal colleagues.
- Experience of contributing actively to process improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies.
- Demonstrate taking personal responsibility for seeing events through to a satisfactory conclusion and possess an openness to support colleagues by sharing knowledge and resources.
