Business Development Assistant

We are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Assistant to join our Business Development Team within our Marketing division working from home and also at our head office in Leeds

The purpose of the BD Assistant is to support the Marketing and Business Development Team in providing administrative support for maintaining and reporting on marketing and business development related activities. You’ll be joining immediately after the launch of our new brand. That might sound like you’re joining the end of a party – but this is where you can really make a difference. Key duties and responsibilities:

Working with both the Bid & Proposal Manager and the BD & CRM Manager, you will be helping manage data relating to the firm’s key accounts and targets. We mainly use LexisNexis InterAction (CRM Software) to record this, though we’re really looking for someone who understands how things fit together. If you’re someone who appreciates that a good eye for detail; keeping that stuff up to date, well-organised and accurate makes that magic happen much easier, you’ll fit right in.

You’ll be working alongside an experienced team, who will show you the ropes on how we do things, and day to day you’ll be recording and measuring our marketing activities including:

  • Assisting the CRM Coordinator maintaining high standards of data quality and GDPR compliance and help produce regular client and internal reporting.
  • Supporting the Bid & Proposals Manager with our expanding credentials resource library and the board reports about what work we’re doing and how successful we are at winning it.
  • Helping our client listening programme run smoothly – liaising with our lawyers, our clients and our external supplier to set up the right information to make the whole thing run smoothly for those being interviewed.

Qualifications Required

  • Experience of CRM systems preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word & PowerPoint & Outlook

Skills and experience:

  • Ability to work confidentially and on highly confidential matters; respecting and maintaining the confidentiality of all information relating to Walker Morris and clients’ matters
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Confident strong communication skills with staff at all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail.
