Assistant Management Accountant
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Finance department with various financial tasks and projects.
Joining a supportive team you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience, aiding your journey towards becoming a qualified accountant, should you choose this path.
You will work collaboratively with the finance team to seek to establish Trusted Adviser status within firm by providing excellent support and analysis to key stakeholders. As well as supporting with regular reporting activities, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in a variety of projects that are aimed at supporting the company’s strategic goals.
What you’ll be doing as an Assistant Management Accountant
- Collaborate with the reporting team to produce monthly management accounts, including the analysis of nominal codes and calculating accruals and prepayments.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
- Assist with the monthly fixed asset process.
- Provide support during the annual audit process.
- Assist in managing Work in Progress (WIP) and disbursements.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to provide valuable insights to stakeholders across the business.
What we are looking for:
- AAT qualified or part-qualified candidates are desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in a finance department is advantageous.
- Proficient IT skills, including extensive experience with Excel, as well as a good working knowledge of Word and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate communication at all levels within the department and the company.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Our office is based in Leeds and this role is offered on either a hybrid (min. 2 days per week in the office) or fully office-based basis.
