Accounts Payable Assistant

Do you have experience of working in Accounts Payable? Do you want to join a busy Accounts Payable team where you will be supported to develop?

As an Accounts Payable Assistant you will play a vital role within our Accounts Payable Team with the support of the Accounts Payable Team Leader. It is a friendly team that is always looking for ways to improve their processes and welcomes the sharing of ideas – your ideas will be heard and valued.

You will be responsible for processing Accounts Payable payments for both the firm and our clients, making this a varied role. You will have the opportunity to support on a variety of projects enabling you to gain positive exposure and enhance your development.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Processing input into the accounts system including nominal receipts/payments, transfer requests & inter account transfers
  • Processing invoice entries, reconciling supplier statements and preparing daily/weekly BACS
  • Managing and resolving queries, both internally and externally
  • Ensuring compliance within Accounts Payable functions

Our office is based in Leeds and we offer hybrid working with a minimum of 2-3 days per week in the office.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience working within an Accounts Payable function
  • PC literate with good knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High levels of organisation
