This webinar will examine the forthcoming changes in legislation and policy as the UK prepares to leave the EU on 31st December 2020

James Maurici QC will look at the potential for Brexit to allow the rolling back of EU environmental law, particularly in the light of recent Government announcements, the extent to which the Environment Bill might prevent this and what this might mean for the development industry and decision makers.

Alison Ogley of Walker Morris LLP will explore the opportunities for developers and decision makers arising from mandatory Biodiversity Net Gain for developments in England.

Stephanie Wray of RSK Biocensus will provide the practitioner’s view as to how these changes are likely to affect the environment, how the development industry can positively respond, and the practice of planning and EIA.

This webinar will conclude with a question and answer session.
