We’ll help you ensure your investigations are focused, proportionate, challenging (in a good way!) and produce results that actually achieve your objectives and help the business, rather than generating a list of vague recommendations that help no one.

What will I learn on the day?

We’ll be answering your burning questions when it comes to conducting successful investigations, including:

• What is my role as an investigator? Do I need an investigation team? Who should be in that team?
• What are Terms of Reference, why are they important and how do I write them?
• How do I establish my lines of enquiry? What happens as the investigation develops and the facts unfold?
• What evidence to I need to obtain and retain?
• How do I conduct interviews to get the best evidence out of witnesses?
• How do I reconcile irreconcilable evidence?
• How do I make sure I’m not biased?
• How do I collate all of the information I’ve gathered into an investigation report? Is my report legally privileged?
• Do I have to reach a conclusion? Do I have to make recommendations?

Is there an online version of the masterclass?

Right now, no. We’ll provide some bitesize videos that focus on key topics that will be covered in the masterclass, but the way to get the best out of this training session is to turn up in person. It’s interactive, it’s thought provoking and you’ll be surrounded by like-minded peers across a variety of industries who can share their thoughts and experiences. No matter how good technology is, we can’t deliver that for you online.
