Property Insurance Associate
What are we looking for ?
A Bright and ambitious solicitor sought (1-5 years PQE) to join a rapidly growing Real Estate Litigation team in Leeds. The successful candidate will have good academics and be able to work as part of a busy department.
We are keen to speak to qualified solicitors with solid experience in property insurance disputes including but not limited to title indemnity insurance claims and/or property damage claims, from either a defendant or claimant background. You will have gained a good mix of property insurance experience and be an effective communicator and relationship builder.
As this is a growing practice area for the firm, you will also be required to assist with the growth and development of this area if work for the department and to take part in business development initiatives.
What we can offer ?
The department’s property insurance practice is growing and involves working with title indemnity insurers involving claims relating rights to light, other easements and restrictive covenants. In addition, the teams is involved in acting for policyholders where major losses have arisen from fires and floods and where disputes have arisen as to the basis of settlement under the policy and recovery from third parties by way of subrogated claims.
The role will involve a mixture of handling your own caseload of property related disputes on behalf of the insurers and the insured and assisting the partner and director with the high value and complex work.
The Real Estate Litigation team is ranked in the first tier of firms in the North in Legal 500.
