Simon joined Walker Morris in 1998 and qualified into the Corporate Group in 2000.

Simon has considerable experience in all aspects of corporate finance work, and has both led and assisted on many private and public company acquisitions and disposals and private equity transactions, and has experience of advising fully listed and AIM-quoted companies.

Simon has particular experience in private equity and venture capital transactions (acting for both private equity houses, vendors and management). In 2007/8 Simon spent five months on secondment with Leeds based private equity house Endless LLP assisting with the project management and successful closure of Endless’ £164million first institutional fund.

Prior to his secondment to Endless LLP, Simon advised Premier Farnell plc in connection with the £22 million disposal of its KENT business to Barnes Group Inc and Land Securities plc in connection with its joint venture with Caddick Developments Limited for the £650million regeneration of Leeds Plaza/Trinity Quarter. Since returning from secondment he has advised Endless on its acquisition of high street book retailer “The Works”.

Simon has recently completed a secondment with FTSE 100 energy company Drax Group plc, and is a member of the Waste, Energy and Renewables Group at Walker Morris.
