What sort of person we’re looking for
We are looking for a CDR solicitor to join our Commercial Dispute Resolution team. We would like someone ideally at the 5 year + pqe level who has undertaken good quality commercial litigation work.
The position would be ideal for a commercial litigation solicitor who is looking for a dynamic but supportive atmosphere in which to hone his or her skills with “top drawer” work.

The team is described in Chambers UK 2010 as going from "strength to strength" with "an invaluable source of broad expertise" and with lawyers who approach even the most complex matters with unflappable efficiency. Gwendoline Davies who heads the litigation team is described as being "at the forefront of a number of the group's more high-profile cases. She is acclaimed for her inimitable mediation style, clear thinking and towering intelligence". Malcolm Simpson, is described as a "highly regarded M&A disputes specialist. He has also had a busy year in the property sector, representing a number of leading UK house-building groups and property investors."
Where the applicant will fit in
The Dispute Resolution department houses 10 partners and 34 solicitors and covers CDR, employment, construction, regulatory and property litigation. Within CDR, 2 partners lead a team of more than 14 lawyers. Partners Gwendoline Davies and Malcolm Simpson are looking to recruit and the applicant will work for both Gwendoline and Malcolm and will form an integral part of the CDR team.
Necessary Qualifications
5 years pqe (but will consider anyone who can demonstrate the skills and knowledge we are looking for).
